garyGary D. Blue

Gary graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1975.  After graduation, Gary went on to practice law in Freeman, South Dakota from 1975 to 1989.   In 1989 he moved to the Huron area and joined his Uncle George and Bob at Blue & Haeder.  Prior to Gary entering law school he was enlisted with the United States Army.  Gary has represented the City of Wessington Springs for the past 7 years and also sits on the Board of East River Legal Services.  Gary is also a Vice-President of the SD Municipal Attorneys’ Association.

After graduating from Mayville State University with a degree in finance and management Jeff began his career in the banking industry where he advised clients on investments and estate planning.  After graduation from the University of South Dakota School of Law Jeff served for a year as a Law Clerk for the Third Judicial Circuit in Huron, and then served for eight years as Deputy State’s Attorney, representing Beadle County in civil and criminal cases.  Jeff has represented the City of Huron since 2013 and will continue to serve the City as City Attorney.  Jeff is also a Vice-President for the SD Municipal Attorneys’ Association.

Alyssa Horn

Alyssa Horn graduated in the top 10% of her graduating class from South Dakota State University in 2016 with degree in Entrepreneurship and Legal Studies. She continued to University of South Dakota for her law degree on a Top Ten Scholarship from the law school.

During her time at law school, Alyssa was the secretary for Veteran Legal Education Group which provided free legal services for veterans across South Dakota. She also was a secretary for Women in Law Group which promoted women in the legal field.

Alyssa was also selected for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board to represent USD Law across the nation at ADR competitions. She placed second at two competitions against some of the highest ranked law schools in the country, one in California and one in Virginia.

During law school, Alyssa interned both a private law firm and as a Deputy at the Beadle County State’s Attorney office. She continued as the Deputy until she joined the firm in February of 2023. She is happy to serve her hometown community, as she is a Wolsey-Wessington native.

Alyssa contracts as a prosecutor for a domestic violence and sexual assault grant which provides specialized prosecution to 16 small counties in Eastern South Dakota. She also is on the Beadle County defense counsel and acts as the Beadle County DUI/Drug Court Attorney. She serves as Wolsey’s town attorney.

Alyssa has been admitted to the South Dakota Federal Bar and sits on the Criminal Justice Panel.

Alyssa is married to Tyler and they share two children, Ridge and Harlow. They enjoy being active in their small communities and church. In her free time, she enjoys drive-in movies in Miller, fishing, reading, cooking, traveling, and shopping.
